Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has had a slower-than-normal start to his season, and everyone is wondering what’s going on with the Chiefs star.
Although the Chiefs are undefeated, Kelce has only 24 catches and 228 yards and still hasn’t found the end zone. There have been concerns that Kelce’s lifestyle with his pop icon girlfriend Taylor Swift has led to his sharp decline in production.
On Monday, Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole Brown addressed his dip in production.
Brown was featured in a clip posted on the I Am Athlete Instagram account before the Chiefs’ Monday night game against the New Orleans Saints. Brown, along with former NFL players Aqib Talib, Brandon Marshall, and Dak Prescott’s brother Tad, discussed prop bets for the game.
Brown mentioned Kelce and noted his slow start out of the gates this season.
“Ben a slow start for the guy. Do you think he’s going to get more than 58.5 receiving yards?” she asked the others on the podcast.

“Yeah, I think he gets more. Like I said, no Rashee Rice, they tried to force feed him last time so you’re going to definitely need him,” Tag Prescott answered.
Kelce ended up delivering, going for 70 yards in the win. It’s good that Kelce and his ex-girlfriend are in a good enough place that she can cover his play on the field without having to worry about holding back or tiptoeing around the situation.
