Two of the NFL’s most historic franchises met on the field Sunday night in a rare inter-conference clash.

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-17. The game started over an hour later than the scheduled kick-off due to lightning and heavy rain in the area, and the late start appears to have left some players antsy.

Steelers wide receiver George Pickens and Cowboys defensive back Jourdan Lewis got into a spat on the field at the end of the game, with Pickens twisting Lewis onto the grass after the final play of the game. The incident left Lewis rightfully upset, and he has some words for Pickens after the game.

While on his way to the Cowboys locker room, Lewis let the young Steelers player hear it: “Pittsburgh need a receiver. George Pickens weak.”

It’s hard to argue with Lewis’ proclamation. Pickens’ production was limited to three catches for 26 yards and he has failed to find the end zone so far this season.

Lewis’s words had some extra venom to them, as the Steelers have been reported by numerous insiders to be aggressively trying to get a deal done with the Las Vegas Raiders to acquire wide receiver Devante Adams via trade.

Lewis got the last laugh both on and off the field, but with both teams sitting in the current playoff picture at 3-2 there’s a chance for a rematch in the Super Bowl if all the cards fall the right way.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Steelers take Lewis’s advice and get some reinforcements for their receiving core.
