A lot of cool projects have been premiering at the World Maker Faire in New York. Yesterday we reported on the awesome Meta Cosby Sweater Knitting Machine, today it’s the LandBearShark from members of MITERS (MIT Electronics Research Society).
Desiger, creator, and builder Charles Guan rides the LandBearShark in the video. The LandBearShark is different from the motorized skateboards you may know because it operated on a pear of traids that make it more condusive to riding offroad. The board runs off of 500-way lithium batteries and a 1HP motor. The LandBearShark can reach speeds up to 15-20MPH.
