According to the man himself, the Philadelphia Eagles will be without one of their star players.
A.J. Brown says he’ll miss the next few weeks after the star Eagles receiver suffered a hamstring injury.
NFL.com writes that Brown told ESPN’s Lisa Salters about his status ahead of Philadelphia’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
“Questionable on Saturday’s injury report before he was downgraded the day before the game, Brown popped up on the injury report Friday, when he experienced some tightness during practice,” the NFL.com article read.
Brown is one of the best receivers in the NFL. His absence will likely be felt for a Philadelphia team that’s struggled a bit out of the gate. He’s added a new dimension to the team since the Eagles acquired him from the Tennessee Titans a few seasons ago. Brown was instrumental in their success the year the team made it to the Super Bowl.
So, without him, the Eagles will have to find help elsewhere on the field. DeVonta Smith will likely take up an accelerated role on the team, but even with that said, Philly has some issues to figure out. The Eagles can’t afford to fall behind in a competitive NFC. But now at 1-1, the team faces a difficult situation without their star player aboard.
