It’s not clear when Miami Dolphins star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be able to return to the field after suffering yet another concussion last week, but it sounds like the team is making some contingency plans at quarterback.
According to a report from Tom Pelissoro of The NFL Network, the Miami Dolphins have decided to sign veteran quarterback Tyler Huntley off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.
“The #Dolphins are signing former Pro Bowl QB Snoop Huntley off the #Ravens practice squad, per sources. With Tua Tagovailoa in concussion protocol, Skylar Thompson is in line to start Sunday at Seattle, and now Huntley could be a factor in coming weeks as well,” Pelissero said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
The #Dolphins now have two healthy QBs on the 53-man roster: Skylar Thompson and Snoop Huntley, who earned a Pro Bowl nod in relief of injured Lamar Jackson in 2022 and most recently was in camp with Cleveland. Tim Boyle is on Miami's practice squad. https://t.co/mGCRgDBKJx

Needless to say, this addition led to a lot of reactions from fans as a result.
“We got a pro bowl QB let’s get it,” one fan said in a post on X.
“Recent Pro Bowler! Get him into the lineup this weekend in Seattle,” another fan said.
“Tannehill reunion would have been funny but Tyler Huntley is probably one of the best options available on short notice. Nice move by the Dolphins,” another fan said.
“Miami can win their next three games with Huntley. I’ve been calling for this for months. He grew up in the Sunshine state,” Dolphins podcaster Neil Driscoll said in a post.
We’ll have to see how this decision works out for them.
