Think you can buy a model Lamborghini for less than an actual one? Well think again. This model Lamborghini Aventador costs $4.7 million and is encrusted with $2.7 million worth of carbon, platinum, gold, and gemstones. A pricey and questionable investment when compared to its driveable counterpart that retails for $379,700. The creator, Robert Gilpen, spent 500 hours constructing the model. By my calculations, Mr. Gilpen’s time is worth roughly $4,000 an hour after material costs.
Sotheby’s will auction the toy Lamborghini this December in either Dubai or New York.
