After parting ways with previous starter Russell Wilson earlier this offseason, the Denver Broncos will have a new starting quarterback this upcoming season. And as the team gets set to begin its preseason games, it sounds like Jarrett Stidham will get the nod at the top of the depth chart.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Denver Broncos released their first official depth chart of the preseason and it listed Jarrett Stidham in the starting quarterback spot over former New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson and rookie first-round pick Bo Nix.

“Broncos are listing Jarrett Stidham as their starting quarterback on the first depth chart of the season. Rookie first-round pick Bo Nix is listed as third string,” NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is just the first depth chart of the preseason and things can certainly change before the team begins the regular season next month. But this still sparked a lot of reactions on social media.

Things can certainly change by the start of the upcoming season, but it sounds like Stidham is going to have a chance to pick up where he left off when he replaced Russell Wilson last year.
