Patrick Mahomes is the biggest star in the NFL right now after winning three Super Bowl titles in his first six seasons as the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. But unfortunately, sometimes fame comes with some pretty terrifying attention.

This week, Patrick Mahomes faced a pretty horrible threat of violence ahead of a Morgan Wallen concert in Arrowhead Stadium as a man named Aaron Brown took to social media and threatened to shoot him and teammate Travis Kelce if they were brought on stage during the concert.

“Mr. [redacted] at Arrowhead with the wife. If he brings out [redacted] or [redacted] I’ll take the (expletive) shot. (Expletive) em!” He added: “Also, (expletive) you (expletive)!! [hand emoji with middle finger],” the post said, according to TMZ.

The two star players were indeed brought on stage with Wallen, but it seems that police handled the situation swiftly and arrested Brown for the terroristic threats. The whole incident delayed the start of the concert by about 40 minutes.

It’s not clear whether or not Mahomes and Kelce were actually in any real danger, but it was a horrible threat that police clearly took seriously, and it sparked a lot of conversation on social media, as well.

Brown was brought into custody and charged with making terroristic threats. His bail was set at $15,000.
