Several teams made moves ahead of this year’s MLB trade deadline, including the Atlanta Braves, who made a big splash on Tuesday.

The Braves traded with the San Francisco Giants to re-acquire Jorge Soler, a former World Series hero.

ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan had the news on the trade, which also included former Atlanta pitcher Luke Jackson.

Soler hit a memorable home run in 2021 that led the Braves to a World Series victory over the Houston Astros. He’ll now return to a Braves team that appears poised to make the MLB Postseason. Lightning often doesn’t strike twice, but Atlanta fans are sure hoping it will.

The MLB world had much to say about this big Atlanta trade.
