The Cleveland Browns made headlines on Wednesday’s transaction wire. Cleveland moved to place one of their star players on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. But the good news is that it might not be for long.
Cleveland placed Chubb and a few other players on the PUP list Wednesday. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that news, but local-area reporter Mary Kay Cabot emerged.
Cabot’s words were much more encouraging, as she noted that every player the team put on the PUP list is still eligible to return before Week 1. Cabot noted every player will remain on the active roster going forward despite the placement.
All of the #Browns players who start camp on PUP or NFI — including Nick Chubb who will go on PUP — will remain on the active roster and eligible to return upon passing a physical. List coming soon.

Cleveland fans can be plenty encouraged by this news. Chubb went down with a gruesome knee injury last year against the rival Pittsburgh Steelers. Since then, it’s been a journey, but one that seems to be winding down now.
He’s one of the best running backs in the NFL, so the Browns will more than appreciate his returning presence to the lineup.
The NFL world had much to say about the news on the Browns star.
Great news for Nick Chubb, meaning he won’t automatically miss the first 4 games of the season https://t.co/vAutCIZE2C
