Former United States President Donald Trump notoriously got along quite well with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un during his time in office, and he just revealed one of his secrets to managing their relationship – sports.
During a recent speech at a rally, Donald Trump revealed that he tried to get Kim Jong Un to “relax” and stop obsessing over nuclear weapons by offering to take him to sporting events.
“He has a lot of nuclear weapons – I got along with him great. You were never in danger with me as your president. It’s a good thing to get along, not a bad thing,” Trump said.
"All Kim Jong Un wants to do is buy nuclear weapons and make 'em… I said just relax — Chill! You've got enough. Let's go to a baseball game — we'll go watch the Yankees!"

“I used to tell him, why don’t you do something else? All he wants to do is buy nuclear weapons and make ’em,” Trump said. “I said ‘Just relax. Chill. You’ve got enough. You’ve got so much nuclear weapons. So much.’ I said ‘Just relax. Let’s go to a baseball game. I’ll show you about baseball. We’ll go watch the Yankees! Or we’ll go watch Michigan at its home opener.'”
Trump never actually took Kim Jon Un to a sporting event in the United States, but it’s certainly a unique approach to diplomacy.
