During his appearance at the Republican National Convention this week, former United States President Donald Trump arrived wearing a rather large bandage over his right ear, where he was shot over the weekend. But one tennis legend seems to think that bandage was simply a “PR stunt.”
On Thursday, Navratilova responded to a message on social media claiming that Trump’s bandage over his ear was completely unnecessary.
“A good friend of mine is the charge nurse (Level IV FNP) at a major trauma center in a huge city,” the post read. “She says there’s absolutely no need to dress an ear wound like this, unless half his ear was blown off. And even then, it wouldn’t look like this.”
Navratilova agreed with this assessment, calling the move a “PR stunt” from the former president.
Of course- this is obviously a PR stunt- the day after the shooting he had no dressing on his ear… not even a band-Aid. https://t.co/k27UJ3rYHO

“Of course- this is obviously a PR stunt- the day after the shooting he had no dressing on his ear… not even a band-Aid,” Navratilova said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
In addition to Trump’s comically large bandage over his ear, several people in attendance at the RNC wore fake bandages of their own in support of the former president.
