Women’s basketball phenom Caitlin Clark is no stranger to record-setting performances as she broke numerous records during her college days with the Iowa Hawkeyes and has already broken some records at the professional level, too. And on Wednesday night, Clark made even more history.

During Wednesday night’s game between the Dallas Wings and her Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark set a new WNBA record with 19 assists in the game, the most in WNBA history.

“Caitlin Clark is in a category of her own. With 19 assists in tonight’s game, Clark has set a new record for most AST in a single game in WNBA history Previously, Courtney Vandersloot held the record with 18 AST in a game for the Chicago Sky vs. the Indiana Fever in 2020,” the WNBA’s official account said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Clark finished the game with 24 points to go along with her 19 assists. But despite the prolific performance from Clark, the Fever still fell short in the contest, losing by a final score of 101 to 93.

After the dominant game, Clark has now improved her impressive assist numbers on the season as she leads the entire league with 8.2 assists per game.
