The Buffalo Bills are known to have an extremely passionate fanbase, arguably the most diehard fans in all of football. But not all players around the NFL love the Buffalo location. Especially not new Miami Dolphins tight end Jonnu Smith.
Smith, who played in the AFC East before for two seasons as a member of the New England Patriots, seemingly isn’t all that big of a fan of the Buffalo area.
In fact, he called Buffalo the “worst place in the world to be” on a recent podcast appearance, proceeding to bash a number of the staples of Buffalo, including traditional Buffalo Wings and the team fanbase overall.
“That’s why the fans be hating so much because they want to be down here [in Miami],” Smith said on The Dive Bar Podcast. “You ever went to Buffalo? Oh, my gosh, man. I don’t know how those dudes do it. I don’t know how they did it. I don’t know how they did it, man. Going from anywhere in the country, man, and going to Buffalo. It got to be the worst place you could be in the world. And the Buffalo wings ain’t even good. I’m throwing all types of shots at Buffalo.”
Obviously, this should ignite even more fuel to the bitter rivalry between the Bills and the Dolphins.
Unfortunately for Smith, the Bills won both of their games against the Dolphins this past season. So he will need to produce on the field to back up all of his trash talk about the team, and the city as a whole moving forward if he wants to avoid scrutiny.
