Recently, Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has been quite open about his former teammate, Aaron Rodgers, being “in his ear” about a potential reunion. And it seems like Jets star wideout Garrett Wilson is fully on board with adding in some more talent at the position.
At his youth football camp on Friday, Wilson discussed the possibility, saying that he is “excited” about the possibility of playing with Adams.
“I see that. I’m excited. I’m with all of it,” Wilson said via the New York Post. “Anyone we can get into the facility to help this team win games, I’m with it and he’s one of those.”
Adams has been linked in trade rumors to the Jets for quite some time now. The topic has largely been discussed on and off dating back to last season.
Perhaps the rumors will always exist due to the relationship that Adams and Rodgers had during their time together with the Green Bay Packers.
Regardless, it goes without saying that the move would be a significant one if the Jets do indeed jump at the opportunity to bring in Adams.
This past season, Adams put up good, but perhaps not great numbers for his standards, recording 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns. By most accounts, this is his worst statistical season since 2019.
One big reason for this was the overall struggles that the Raiders experienced at quarterback this past season with the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo and rookie Aidan O’Connell.
The Raiders haven’t exactly sured up the position this offseason. So don’t be surprised if Adams is perhaps moved midway through the season, or sooner, to a team like the Jets.
