Taylor Swift and her previous boyfriend Joe Alwyn dated for seven years without getting engaged or married, but it doesn’t sound like she plans to do the same thing with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
According to an inside source from Life & Style Magazine, Taylor Swift “doesn’t want to waste more time” when it comes to waiting for a potential marriage with Travis Kelce after how long she waited for Joe Alwyn to pop the question only to be let down.
“Taylor is head over heels in love with Travis,” the insider told Life & Style Magazine. “She doesn’t want to waste more time, so she needs to make sure they’re on the same page about getting married.”
The two have been dating for less than a year, so Swift isn’t in a major rush, but she does want to know that things are heading in that direction.
“She’s not expecting a proposal tomorrow, but she does want to know he’s as serious as she is when it comes to marriage,” the source said.
The source explained that Swift wants to be more upfront about her expectations with Kelce so that things don’t happen the way they did with Alwyn.
“Taylor changed so many things to accommodate Joe — she moved to London and agreed to reel in her outgoing personality because he was more of a homebody,” the insider said. “They’d spoken about starting a family and she patiently waited for him to propose. Every time Joe would arrange a romantic vacation or quiet dinner, she imagined the time had come. But after almost seven years, Joe was dragging his feet and she had to walk away.”
We’ll have to see when the couple ultimately heads toward marriage.
