During his playing career, former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton established himself as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the history of the league, which helped him win the league’s MVP award in 2015. But even he does not think he is the best greatest dual-threat quarterback in NFL history.
During the most recent episode of his”4th and 1″ podcast, Cam Newton was asked whether or not he considers himself the best dual-threat quarterback in NFL history. He very quickly declared that he was not, and had a quick answer for who he felt was the best dual-threat quarterback in league history.
“No,” Newton said. “Lamar Jackson.”
Does Cam Newton see himself as the greatest dual-threat QB to play the game?

Newton did not hold back on Jackson as he explained what makes him so dominant, saying “he got speed that I never had.”
“Well, Lamar’s style is a little different than mine,” Newton said. “He got big play [potential], any play. Yes, he got speed that I never had, and he’s just electric,” Newton said. “And then I played the game more… powerful. Yeah I can run, but I might probably get caught. [Michael] Vick, Lamar, they ain’t getting caught.”
Obviously, Jackson proved this dominance as he was named the league’s MVP last season.
