Ever since last week’s debate against Donald Trump, there have been a lot of suggestions and speculation that Joe Biden could choose to suspend his campaign and allow someone else to take the Democratic nomination for president in his place. And it sure sounds like that’s what former ESPN analyst Bomani Jones expects to happen.
On Wednesday afternoon, Bomani Jones had a pretty brutal assessment of the situation for Joe Biden as he compared the president to a coach of a sports team that is about to be fired.
“something from sports that may be applicable to another story: whenever this much comes out about a coach being on a the hot seat, that coach is outta there. it don’t turn back after all these leaks,” Jones said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

This prediction from Jones came after the New York Times reported on Wednesday morning that Biden had told one of his allies that he was weighing whether or not to continue on with his campaign, which Jones seems to interpret as a “leak” from the inside of his campaign.
Needless to say, it sure sounds like Jones doesn’t expect Biden to ultimately run for president.
