Legendary United States gymnast Simone Biles is set to make her return to the Olympics this year after pulling out of the Tokyo Olympic games for mental health reasons. During her floor routine during the Olympic trials this week, Biles used some music from another legendary woman: Taylor Swift. And the pop star seems to have taken notice.
During the first portion of her floor routine on Friday, Simone Biles used a portion of the Taylor Swift song “…Ready For It?” – the opening track of Swift’s album Reputation. And Swift was quick to send a pretty clear message of praise and support for the legendary gymnast.
“Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho,” Swift said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
To nobody’s surprise, Biles had one of the best performances of the night as she delivered a score of 58.900 to lead the field during the competition.
Biles has established herself as one of the greatest women’s gymnasts of all time, winning four Olympic gold medals and 23 gold medals at the World Championship throughout her career. She will have a chance to add to that legacy at the Paris Olympics this summer.
