As the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers prepare for Game 7 of the Stanely Cup Final on Monday night, Donald Trump faces quite an embarrassing situation if one of those teams loses.

Earlier this month, it looked like the Florida Panthers were cruising toward their first Stanley Cup in franchise history as they took a 3-0 lead in the series over the Edmonton Oilers. Florida was so dominant that Trump even felt comfortable expressing his praise and support for the team on social media.

“Wow, the Florida Panthers are a fantastic Ice Hockey Team. They’re 3-0 against the very good Edmonton Oilers from Canada. They’re down 1 to 0 tonight, but it’s still early. Hopefully they will put them away. Very impressive!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

But in an embarrassing turn of events for Trump, it seems that he might have cursed the team. From the moment Trump sent that post, the Oilers have flipped the script and absolutely dominated the Panthers, winning three consecutive games by scores of 8-1, 5-3 and 5-1 to send the series to a pivotal Game 7.

If the Oilers are victorious on Monday night, Florida will become the first team in over 80 years to blow a 3-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Final, and Trump will undoubtedly get blamed for cursing the team with his social media post.

Needless to say, Trump is facing a pretty embarrassing situation and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

We’ll have to see whether or not the Oilers can pull off the massive comeback.
