Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have now been dating for several months, and it seems like the couple is now ready to take the next step in their relationship and plan their marriage. But it sounds like there is one thing in particular that scares Kelce about their eventual wedding.
Swift and Kelce’s relationship journey kicked off when Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium on July 8, 2023. A couple of weeks later, Kelce shared on his New Heights podcast that he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet and his phone number, but it didn’t quite work out. After a few months of rumors swirling, Kelce confirmed their budding romance on his podcast, and Swift showed her support by attending one of his games, marking the start of their public relationship.
Since then, the two have grown close to each other, making public appearances together and supporting each other in their respective careers with Kelce attending Swift’s concerts while she also attends his games. And even though they have not yet been together for a year and aren’t yet formally married, Life & Style magazine reports that they are already planning some aspects of their wedding together.
According to the report from Life & Style, Kelce and Swift have already decided on a time of year and location for their eventual marriage ceremony, and Swift has begun picking out a wedding dress.
“Taylor has her heart set on a summer wedding,” an inside source told Life & Style. “She’s already narrowed down her picks for her bridal gown and two other designer dresses she wants to wear.”
The source told the outlet that the two of them “have agreed on a lavish outdoor ceremony and celebration at her place in Rhode Island” and that “they want to be surrounded by family and close friends.”
“It’ll be her ultimate dream wedding,” the inside source told Life & Style. “They’ll definitely spare no expense.”
And while Kelce seems to be on board with everything, including the eventual prenuptial agreement, there is one thing that the source claims has him quite worried: the vows.
“Taylor’s mom, Andrea, wants to make sure they have an ironclad prenup,” the insider said. “But what Travis is most worried about is his vows!”
Obviously, Taylor Swift is one of the most accomplished songwriters and lyricists of her generation, winning 14 Grammy Awards throughout her musical career. Needless to say, the inside source told Life & Style that her vows are expected to be “spot on.” And that puts Kelce in a pretty scary position.
“So Travis is under a lot of pressure to make his super special,” the source told the magazine.
This fear might be a little bit premature as the two aren’t even officially engaged yet, but it sounds like that day could be coming soon as Kelce has reportedly already met with a high-end jeweler multiple times, presumably to work on selecting an engagement ring for Swift.
So while Kelce may be a little bit intimidated by the idea of writing and reciting his vows, it doesn’t sound like it’s holding him back from moving forward with the eventual wedding.
