It looks like the Ohio State Buckeyes baseball program will be in search of a new head coach this offseason as current head coach Bill Mosiello has suddenly announced his resignation from the team.
Ohio State confirmed the news of his resignation on Friday afternoon.
“We want to thank Bill for his time as a Buckeye and wish him well with his new adventures,” Executive Associate Athletic Director Shaun Richard said in a statement on Friday afternoon. “I’m looking forward to the process of finding the next leader that will take this program to the next level.”
While Ohio State announced that Mosiello will be “pursuing other professional opportunities,” Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball reports that he will be returning to TCU, where he will be the team’s top assistant and hitting coach as he was two years ago before he left the team to become the head coach at Ohio State.

Needless to say, Buckeyes baseball will need a new coach.
