Justin Herbert is one of the most talented young quarterbacks in the National Football League. While Herbert’s Los Angeles Chargers are perennially snakebitten, Herbert is still highly regarded around the NFL. His teammates, including Joey Bosa, think highly of him, too.
Bosa, whose presence predates Herbert’s on the Chargers, and even their stint in Los Angeles, joined longtime sports personality Jim Rome on his talk show on X this week. The Chargers star EDGE discussed Herbert and the impact he’s made on the team. Bosa spoke highly of his quarterback, especially his leadership qualities.
“He’s as tough as they come…I think his confidence has grown over the years…He’s the exact kind of guy you want leading your team.”

“How much respect does he garner in that locker room given he has a level of toughness to match his talent?” Rome asked Bosa.
“He’s as tough as they come,” Bosa told Rome. “He comes in every single day, head down, working. I think his confidence has grown over the years and just keeps growing. Especially as a leader in the way he speaks to the team is improving all the time. He’s the exact kind of guy you want leading your team,” Bosa added.
Expectations might be reset with Jim Harbaugh at the helm now in LA, but there’s still rampant support for Herbert from all over.
