Recently, the conversation regarding whether or not transgender women should be allowed to participate in women’s sports has become one of the hottest debates in politics and in society. And now, one current NBA star is offering his stance on the issue.
During a recent appearance on “The Full Send” podcast, Denver Nuggets star forward Michael Porter Jr. did not hold back in giving his thoughts on transgender athletes as he made it very clear he is not in support of allowing transgender women to play in women’s sports.
Porter went as far as to say that it “irritates” him that it’s even a conversation.
“Most women can’t compete with men, and I don’t think men should be able to transition and play with women. That whole conversation just irritates me,” Porter Jr. said on the “Full Send” podcast according to The Spun.
Needless to say, this firm stance on the issue led to a lot of reactions on social media.
"Guy's got some opinions. But honestly, who cares what he thinks? Trans women are already competing at elite levels, and Caitlin Clark is a beast on the court regardless of her gender."

Ever notice trans only enter competitions that men are usually better at … let's see them in say ballet or synchronised swimming with their big feet & lack of feminine flow!

If trans women can compete in women's sports then technically trans men should be able to compete in men's sports. https://t.co/AObMHSTtxi

Porter has emerged as a star in the league since he was selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Last season, he helped lead the Nuggets to the NBA Championship, starting in every single playoff game for the team.
