The Dallas Cowboys may not be undergoing many structural changes on the offensive side of the ball with head coach Mike McCarthy returning once again as the team’s play-caller, but that doesn’t mean that there haven’t been major changes and growth within the team this offseason.
During a recent press conference, Dak Prescott opened up a little bit about the major changes that he is seeing within his team as the group continues to get more comfortable in the second season of head coach Mike McCarthy running the show on offense.
“The growth in my play and the jump I’m making is the second year in his offense as well, being more comfortable with the footwork,” Prescott said according to the Dallas Cowboys team website.
“The receivers around me, their second year in it, they’re more comfortable, they’re more confident. Things are just faster off the line from the huddle through the play to the scramble drill when it doesn’t work, we are truly understanding, everybody understands, I guess. It just makes the communication, my approach and allowing me to play with more confidence.”
We’ll have to see how the changes and growth within the offense help the team this upcoming season.
