During a recent game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky, there was a bit of an incident on the court that has generated a lot of conversation around the country after Sky guard Chennedy Carter shoved Fever guard Caitlin Clark to the floor during a dead-ball situation. While Clark got most of the public support during the incident, one commentator has expressed her sympathy for Carter, too.
During the Sky’s most recent game against the New York Liberty on Tuesday night, Jemele Hill expressed her sympathy for what she believes must have been “a rough couple days” for Carter and praised her for showing “some serious resolve” by performing well during the game.
“I’m guessing it’s been a rough couple days for Chennedy Carter, but she is showing some serious resolve. She’s played an incredible first half against the Liberty. Has 15 so far and helped them climb out of a double-digit lead. Lost in all the conversation is that she is a baller. #WNBA,” Hill said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Carter led the team with 16 points in what turned out to be an 88-75 loss to the Liberty.
