Dak Prescott is facing a rather uncertain future with the Dallas Cowboys as he enters the final year of his contract without another deal in place to keep him with the team beyond this season. But that does not appear to be slowing down his preparation for this upcoming season.

During a recent press conference, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy had some high praise for Dak Prescott and the way he has prepared this offseason. McCarthy went as far as to suggest that this has been Prescott’s most impressive offseason since he took over as the team’s head coach in 2020.

“I think Dak is having his best offseason program that we’ve had,” McCarthy said according to the Dallas Cowboys team website. “This atmosphere that we’ve practiced in with the quarterback and receivers has really hit the mark. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of work. . . . With the quarterback, when the connection is there in the perimeter realm – and that’s been the majority of our physical activity — the connection is better. The receivers are playing with more urgency, more reps. The timing is better. The real test will be when we get to training camp.”

We’ll have to see whether or not the strong offseason leads to good results during the regular season.
