Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has not been present at any offseason workouts this offseason as he seeks a contract extension from the Dallas Cowboys. And as the team begins its mandatory minicamp this week, it sounds like Lamb has decided that he will not be participating in that, either.

According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, CeeDee Lamb is extending his holdout into the mandatory portion of the offseason.

“Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb, still seeking a contract extension, is not expected to attend the team’s mandatory minicamp that opens today and continues this week,” Schefter said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, it’s pretty brutal news that Lamb is unhappy enough with the current contract negotiations that he’s holding out from mandatory minicamp, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Lamb is heading into the final season of his rookie contract and fifth-year option and is seeking a new contract that will keep him with the team for the next several years. And it sounds like he has no intention of participating in team activities until that contract is done.
