Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been at the center of controversy following his guilty verdict in his recent hush-money trial. But on Saturday night, Trump was more in his element, receiving a massive ovation as he walked out to the arena at UFC 302 to watch the main card of the event.
Trump, who was found guilty on Thursday of all 34 charges against him in his hush-money trial, was accompanied by Dana White to watch the final five fights of the event.
Fans in attendance quickly realized that it was him walking out, showering him with mostly cheers as he waved to those in their seats. Before taking a seat to watch the event cage side, the 2024 presidential hopeful went on to shake the hands of all of the UFC commentary team, consisting of Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and former UFC Champion Daniel Cormier.

It was a much-needed break from all the stress as of late for Trump. But it is a bit of a surprise that Trump was in attendance. Particularly because the event was held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, the home of the New Jersey Devils. This is just ten miles away from where his conviction came in New York City.
Trump surely had a ton on his mind, whether it be with his upcoming presidential election battle against Joe Biden, or his recent conviction. But for one day, he got to enjoy this live event. And fans were seemingly quite appreciative of his appearance.
