Back in 2022, former Georgia Bulldogs superstar running back Herschel Walker challenged Raphael Warnock for one of Georgia’s Senate seats. He ultimately lost and has been largely out of the political spotlight since then, but he’s not exactly making Republicans happy, either.
According to a report Politico, Herschel Walker has more than $4 million in leftover campaign funds that could go toward helping Donald Trump campaign for the upcoming election in Georgia. But he has no intentions of using that money to support Trump or the Republican party in the upcoming November election.
“Georgia and national Republicans, in dire need of money, are furious that Walker is sitting on more than $4 million in leftover campaign funds and seems to have no intention of using it to help the GOP or Donald Trump in the key battleground state in November,” Brittany Gibson reported for Politico.
“With the Georgia Republican Party nearly broke and the Republican National Committee regularly getting outspent by its Democratic counterpart, Republicans say Walker’s unspent millions could go a long way toward addressing the GOP’s cash crunch.”
Obviously, this is pretty bad news for Trump as Georgia is a vitally important state for Trump to win if he’s going to win the election. That money could go a long way toward helping him.
