Before the start of the 2023 NFL season, Jordan Love signed a two-year contract with the Green Bay Packers that offered him more money than his rookie deal, but nowhere near the money that a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL would make on an open market. Obviously, the team is going to have to pay him more money to keep him around, but it’s just a matter of when.
So far, Jordan Love has not received a new contract or a pay raise from the Green Bay Packers. While that is not stopping him from attending OTAs with the team this week, he also was not willing to commit to playing for the team on his current contract this upcoming season.
“I don’t really know what’s going on, but we’ll see. I’m not really gonna get into too much contract stuff. . . . We’ll see. I don’t know yet. We’ll see,” Love said according to Pro Football Talk.
Obviously, Love certainly proved himself to the Packers last season during his first year as a starter as he guided the team to the postseason and led them to victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the opening round of the playoffs.
We’ll have to see how the contract negotiations shake out.
