It’s certainly been an interesting offseason for Cincinnati Bengals superstar wide receiver Tee Higgins after he requested a trade from the team after they used their franchise tag to keep him on the roster without offering him a long-term contract. And now, that drama as continuing as it sounds like Higgins has no plans to sign that franchise tender anytime soon.

According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Tee Higgins has decided not to sign his franchise tender before next week and will not participate in the team’s OTAs as a result.

“Bengals WR Tee Higgins still has not signed his franchise tender and is not expected to by next week, per source. This would make him ineligible to report back to the Bengals in time for their organized team activities next week. Higgins cannot rejoin the team until he signs,” Schefter said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is a pretty brutal decision from Higgins and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

We’ll have to see how this whole contract situation between Higgins and the Bengals plays out.
