For the first time since parting ways with the New Orleans Saints following the 2021 NFL season, Sean Payton will return to New Orleans as the head coach of the Denver Broncos for a primetime Thursday night matchup in Week Seven. And it sounds like one of his former players wants to do everything he can to spoil that homecoming.
During a recent interview, New Orleans Saints veteran defensive end Cameron Jordan, who played the first 11 seasons of his career under Sean Payton in New Orleans, made it clear that he will be feeling a little added motivation for that game when it rolls around, saying “It feels like we have to win that game.”
“It’s not like I’ve circled it on a calendar and marked it down, but it feels like we have to win that game. Everybody knows who Sean Payton is. Can’t let him. Can’t let him do that one,” Jordan said according to NewOrleans.Football.
Obviously, those are some pretty strong words and they quickly went viral on social media as people offered their reactions.
Saints had better beat the Broncos! And they need to beat all the bad teams on their schedule

No way Payton gets out coached by DA. And he’s way too petty to not be over prepared

We’ll have to see whether or not Jordan and the Saints can get it done against Payton and the Broncos this upcoming season.
