Veteran superstar running back Dalvin Cook did not play much last season for either the New York Jets or the Baltimore Ravens, spending most of the season on the bench. But it sounds like he is still trying to get himself ready for the upcoming NFL season and is searching for a new team to give him an opportunity.
Though Dalvin Cook has not signed with any team just yet, he said that he is “taking calls” from multiple teams as he weighs his options and searches for the best opportunity for him.
“Just really focusing on myself,” Cook said according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC. “Getting ready for training camp, getting ready for what’s coming up next. For me, like you said, patience is the key. Right now the only thing I’m really focusing on is getting myself in tip-top shape to really tote the rock come the fall.”
Cook is now 28 years old and is on the back end of his career for a running back. Though he has seen his production fall dramatically in recent years, he clearly still thinks that he can play the game and has something to offer a team. We’ll have to see where he lands.
