Bronny James The Montgomery Advertiser

It’s certainly not uncommon for a high-level athlete to lie a little bit about their height or weight, but those lies quickly get exposed when a player gets officially measured before entering the professional ranks. Unfortunately for Bronny James, the son of NBA megastar LeBron James, it appears that he has been overstating his height by multiple inches.

As Calvy J of the Once Dribble podcast points out, Bronny James has been listed at 6-foot-4 throughout his basketball career. But according to the official measurements at the NBA Scouting Combine this week, he actually isn’t even 6-foot-2.

“Bronny James, listed height of 6’4″ on every roster he’s ever played on, measured just a half inch over 6’1” at the NBA Scouting Combine.

“6’1″ guys who averaged 5 points a game in college usually don’t get drafted. I sure do wonnnnder what’s different in Bronny’s case…” he said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is pretty brutal news for Bronny as it means that he is quite undersized as he ponders beginning his professional career, and people have a lot to say about it on social media.

We’ll have to see whether Bronny stays in the draft and if he is ultimately selected.
