The Cincinnati Bengals have had somewhat of a worrying offseason thus far, having two star players, one on each side of the ball, request a trade from the organization. However, they received a bit of good news about one of the two players, who may not be holding out like many expected him to.
Bengals star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, who is coming off a career season where he recorded 17.5 sacks, notably requested a trade last month after talks of a long-term extension stalled out.
This obviously led many to assume that Hendrickson may not be at offseason workouts in an effort to force the Bengals’ hand and honor his trade request.
But instead, Hendrickson is seemingly taking a different approach. He was in attendance for one of the team’s offseason workouts on Monday, putting in some work in a video shared on the Bengals’ social media page.

This is undoubtedly some positive news for Bengals fans, who are likely a bit worried about Hendrickson’s future with the team as we get closer to the start of the 2024-25 NFL season.
There is still obviously further work to be done between the Bengals organization and Hendrickson to potentially work on a long-term extension to make the star edge rusher happy. But at least things haven’t reached a point where Hendrickson isn’t showing his face in team workouts.
