J.J. McCarthy J.J. McCarthy

The Minnesota Vikings selected former Michigan Wolverines J.J. McCarthy with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft in hopes that he will be their quarterback of the future after parting ways with Kirk Cousins this offseason, but one particularly bad throw from McCarthy during practice over the weekend might have fans a little bit concerned.

During a broadcast of NFL Live on the NFL Network over the weekend, cameras caught a particularly terrible pass that J.J. McCarthy threw to one of his coaches.

It was not a very long pass, but McCarthy missed badly, throwing the ball so far out of reach that the coach was barely even able to get one hand on the ball. McCarthy was visibly disappointed by the pass as he clapped his hands in disgust and looked down at the ground.

It was a horrible throw from McCarthy, and it quickly went viral on social media as people offered their reactions.

It’s worth noting that this is just one pass of several that he made throughout his first day of rookie minicamp with the team. Obviously, one poor pass does not necessarily indicate that he will not be successful throughout his career in the league.
