By all accounts, Shannon Sharpe was a no-brainer to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
The now-ESPN host thinks that someone very close to him should be in Canton as well.
Sharpe played 14 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the Denver Broncos, and finished his career third in tight end receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions. He is considered one of the greatest Broncos of all time and arguably the best tight end of all time.
Shannon, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011, said on Saturday that he agreed that his brother, Sterling Sharpe, should also be in the Hall of Fame.
Sharpe agreed with a post by Dov Kleiman, which read “Name a player who should be in the Hall of Fame, but isn’t I’ll start: Sterling Sharpe.”
“I agree,” responded Shannon.

Sterling played in the NFL from 1988 to 1994 with the Green Bay Packers. In his seven seasons, he was second in receptions and receiving yards (beyond only Jerry Rice) and third in touchdowns. The three-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler led the NFL in receptions three times and receiving touchdowns twice. His career was cut short by a neck injury and that might be holding him back from Hall of Fame consideration.
He is a member of the Packers Hall of Fame and his number was retired by the South Carolina Gamecocks.
What do you think? Should Sterling Sharpe be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
