On Sunday, Tom Brady was the subject of a celebrity roast hosted by Netflix where several celebrities, comedians, and sports stars took turns making jokes at Brady’s expense. And some of the jokes were so brutal that Brady’s friend David Beckham was actually worried about his wellbeing.
During a recent appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, David Beckham admitted that the roast of Tom Brady was quite entertaining, but he wanted to make sure Brady was all right.
“The whole concept is quite funny. It was very funny. But I know Tom well, and I must admit, I did fire him a message just to check if he was OK,” Beckham said according to Fox News.
It turned out that Brady was perfectly fine despite the brutal roast, but Beckham admitted that it wasn’t easy to watch his friend get roasted like that.
“He’s more than OK, but, yeah, it was hard to watch,” Beckham said.
But that doesn’t mean Beckham will be willing to participate in something like that personally.
“Definitely not,” Beckham said when Kimmel asked him whether or not he would be willing to be the subject of a celebrity roast.
