Gisele Bundchen, the ex-wife of legendary quarterback Tom Brady, asked for privacy after the two officially filed for divorce in 2022. But on Sunday, their past relationship was anything but private during the Netflix comedy special, The Roast of Tom Brady.
Brady was on the receiving end of many different jokes around things like “Deflategate” or his failed Cryptocurrency venture. But throughout the night, the topic most who took the stage poked fun at the most was Brady’s failed relationship with Bundchen.
Whether it be Kevin Hart, Jeff Ross, or Nikki Glaser, Brady was constantly mocked about the fact that in the eyes of most, Brady chose one final year of football over his relationship with Bundchen, referring to the public “ultimatum” that Bundchen once gave Brady.
At the end of the event, Brady had the opportunity to push back against everyone who roasted him when he took the stage. But one thing that he didn’t push back was about his marriage to Bundchen.
Instead, he poked fun at his decision to choose football over his marriage.
“There have been a lot of jokes tonight but I miss the love of my life… football.”

At this point, it makes sense that Brady is able to laugh about the situation. But obviously, when Brady talks about the love of his life at one time, most would likely assume that he is referring to Bundchen and not football.
Regardless, it is quite clear that the relationship between Bundchen and Brady will not one day be repaired, and that football may have always been his true love.
