When Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout has been healthy, he has clearly been one of the most dominant players in the history of the game. But unfortunately for him, he has had some pretty terrible luck with injuries in recent years. And that brutal injury luck has struck him again this year.
On Tuesday, Los Angeles Angels general manager Perry Minasian announced that Mike Trout had suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and will need surgery, sidelining him for at least a month.
“The procedure, which is believed to be scheduled for Friday, isn’t considered to be season ending. A source familiar with Trout’s injury said a four- to six-week timetable is a best-case scenario, but a true timeline won’t be established until doctors take a closer look,” Alden Gonzalez and Jeff Passan reported for ESPN.
Obviously, this is horrible news for Mike Trout, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

This continues a pretty unfortunate pattern for Trout as he has not been able to remain healthy for longer than 140 games in a season since 2016.
We’ll have to see how Trout is able to bounce back from this unfortunate injury this time around.
