Marvin Harrison Jr. had a prolific college football career with the Ohio State Buckeyes, putting up insane numbers that helped him become a two-time Unanimous All-American, a winner of The Biletnikoff Award, and a finalist for The Heisman Trophy. But it sounds like his college career still feels a little bit incomplete.
During a recent interview, after he was selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, Marvin Harrison Jr. admitted the brutal truth that he left the Ohio State Buckeyes “unsatisfied” when asked if it was a difficult decision to leave college.
“Yes, definitely,” Harrison said of the decision to leave according to On3. “You know, I think, a lot of things, I left unfinished and unsatisfied in college.”
During his three seasons at Ohio State, Harrison racked up a lot of individual accolades, but the team never won a Big Ten championship, or a national championship, and went 0-3 against the archrival Michigan Wolverines.
Still, Harrison knew it was time for him to leave even despite the disappointing finishes to those seasons.
“Just for what was best for me at that moment was to move on with my career,” Harrison said.
It’s a tough decision to leave, but with him getting selected as the No. 4 overall pick, it sounds like it was the right one.
