After spending last season with the New England Patriots, Ezekiel Elliott has re-joined the Dallas Cowboys and it sounds like he has one primary goal in mind: win a Super Bowl.
After signing with the team on Monday, Ezekiel Elliott made it clear that he saw it as a priority to return to Dallas and help the team “chase that ring” as they try to win a Super Bow.
“This was my priority. Doing what I could do to get back here,” Elliott said Monday according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I have a lot left to accomplish here. I’m excited to get back with the fellas and chase that ring.”
Elliott played his first seven seasons with the Cowboys after the team selected him in the 2016 NFL Draft – the same draft class in which they selected current quarterback Dak Prescott. Elliott made it clear that he wants to complete the mission of helping lead the team to a Super Bowl championship.
“From 2016, we’ve been working on building this franchise to get a chance to win the Super Bowl,” Elliott said. “That is obviously the priority. That’s the bar.”
We’ll have to see whether or not the Cowboys can do it.
