Ohio State Buckeyes superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has made some pretty unorthodox moves leading up to the NFL Draft as he declined to work out at either the NFL Scouting Combine or Ohio State’s pro day, and those unusual decisions apparently extend to the business side of the NFL.
According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Marvin Harrison Jr. has not yet signed a licensing agreement that would allow his jerseys to be sold and for him to be included in video games, like Madden.
“Marvin Harrison Jr. has yet to sign a preliminary NFLPA licensing agreement that all draftees typically sign, which would allow his name and likeness to be monetized after he is picked tonight and before his NFL contract is signed, per sources. His jersey will not be available for purchase and he will not be featured in video games until his NFLPA group licensing deal is signed,” Schefter said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
We’ll have to see whether Harrison ultimately decides to sign the agreement or if he will be excluded from Madden and jersey sales for his rookie season.
