The Las Vegas Raiders have made it no secret that they are interested in possibly selecting a quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft, and it sounds like there’s a chance they could choose to trade up and select one of the draft’s top quarterbacks: Jayden Daniels.
Jayden Daniels has long been expected to be the No. 2 overall pick by the Washington Commanders. But during a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed that Daniels is interested in playing for a different team, putting the Commanders in a difficult spot.
“From the outset, Jayden Daniels has had an interest in being other places. He just has,” Schefter said on the show. “Now, the interest is ‘What do the Commanders do about that?’ There have been plenty of players who wanted to play elsewhere and teams don’t care and they just do what they do.”
"It has been tracking for Jayden Daniels to go at number two..
It feels like Jayden Daniels has an interest in being other places..
We’ll see what the Washington Commanders do with that information" ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive https://t.co/6pVLDVMIHO pic.twitter.com/U7nijL0ZQw

Schefter seemed to suggest that the Las Vegas Raiders could be interested in trading up to select Daniels given the relationship between him and new Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce going back to their time together with the Arizona State Sun Devils.
“Or, if there’s a team that wants him – i.e. a team with a coach that used to work him in college – then they have to trade for him. So, what do they want to do?”
It would certainly be interesting if the Raiders tried to pull off a trade to land Daniels. We’ll have to see how it all works out.
