Cleveland Browns star quarterback Deshaun Watson missed a significant chunk of the 2023 NFL season after a shoulder injury required season-ending surgery. But it sounds like the recovery process is going well for the veteran quarterback and the team does not expect any further setbacks as he nears ready to return to the practice field.
During an interview at the NFL’s annual league meetings in Florida this week, Cleveland Browns team owner Andrew Berry gave a pretty major update on the status of Deshaun Watson, revealing that the team does not expect “any issues” regarding his injury recovery.
“All the medical work that’s been done at this point in time, Deshaun’s recovery so far, it’s been really positive,” Berry said according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “We’re not anticipating any issues.”
Watson has already begun throwing following his surgery and he is expected to join the team in Cleveland when the team begins its spring program on April 15.
We’ll have to see how Watson is able to bounce back from his injury and if he will be able to stay on the field this upcoming season, especially after how often he has been sidelined with injuries throughout his Cleveland Browns career.
