Many USWNT members over the years such as Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, and many more have been open advocates for the LGBTQ community. But unfortunately, one USWNT member doesn’t appear to share those views whatsoever, openly sharing her anti-LGBTQ views on TikTok.
Korbin Albert, a 20-year-old right winger for the USWNT, has made it a point to repost several anti-LGBTQ videos on her TikTok account.
One of which was particularly negative towards the community, suggesting that god “saves people from being gay” and that “feeling transgender” is “gross, insulting, and unacceptable”.

Obviously, Albert’s views sparked a ton of outrage on social media. Many fans of the team quickly rushed to put her on blast for her lack of tolerance to those in the LGBTQ community.

I hope the various podcasts and shows that cover the USWNT actually address Korbin Albert’s bigotry. And I want to see players and former players other than P calling for repercussions.

Albert’s views could certainly lead to some serious problems within the USWNT. A number of current players on the team do happen to be gay. And it could certainly be quite uncomfortable to play on a team with a teammate who is pretty publically against the LGBTQ community.
Her public reputation has already appeared to take a pretty drastic hit due to this situation. And it sure seems like she could certainly face even more backlash as more begin to discover some of her public viewpoints.
