Some unfortunate footage was recently released about a bar fight in Texas, where a legend of the area, former Texas Longhorns star quarterback Vince Young seemingly took the worst of things.
Michael Babcock, an executive producer for TMZ, took to social media on Tuesday morning to post a video of the altercation that dates back to last month.
In the video, you can see Young, wearing a black shirt, get into a shoving match with a number of men. When things escalated, it then looked like Young was attempting to calm things down by holding back numerous people who had started fighting.
Just as things appeared to be calming down, Young took a sucker punch which appeared to do some serious damage, making him go unconscious.
Vince Young was punched in the face and dropped, and appeared to be momentarily out during a February 4 bar fight in Texas.

It’s obviously an incredibly unfortunate situation. And ultimately, many old-school college football fans took to social media to blast the “cowardly” person who sucker punched Young.

On one hand, you can argue that Young did play a role in the altercation and shouldn’t have found himself in that situation in the first place. But on the other, it did look like he was trying to escalate the situation at the point that he took the punch.
Regardless, it is quite sad to see this happen to someone who is a legend in the state of Texas thanks to his playing days with the Texas Longhorns.
Young famously led the Longhorns to a National Championship in 2005, defeating USC in a game widely regarded as one of the most entertaining National Championships in recent memory.
