The 2024 NCAA Tournament is almost upon us, which means it is the season of hot takes and debates about which teams will end up cutting down the nets as National Champions. It is also one of the few times that the U.S. President weighs in on sports. And on Wednesday, President Joe Biden revealed his bracket for the upcoming tournament.
The trend of the President making their NCAA Tournament selections was started by our 44th President, Barack Obama, who still offers up his yearly tournament selections.
Biden did so as well on Wednesday with a bracket that he seemingly played it safe on, selecting the UConn Huskies, the overall No. 1 seed, to repeat as champions by defeating Houston in the championship game.

Biden’s bracket featured three No. 1 seeds, UConn, Houston, and UNC in the Final Four, along with No. 2 seeded Tennessee out of the Midwest Region.
Biden didn’t really go out of the box all that often in his bracket. But there were a few bold predictions, including No. 11 seeded NC State to the Sweet 16.
The biggest upset on Biden’s bracket comes in the Round of 64, predicting that No. 13 seeded Charleston will knock off Alabama. Some others included New Mexico over Clemson, McNeese State over Gonzaga, and Nevada over Dayton.
Just about anything that Biden does nowadays finds a way to be controversial one way or the other. So it should come as no surprise that plenty of fans took to social media to offer their opinion on his bracket.

Only time will tell whether Biden’s bracket ends up being a winner. But at least if his champion loses, a large percentage of others will be going down with him.
