Pop icon Taylor Swift has gotten quite close to many members of the Kansas City Chiefs thanks to her relationship with star tight end Travis Kelce. And it seems like Patrick Mahomes may benefit from this in his business venture with the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League.
Both Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes hold an ownership stake in the Kansas City Current of the NWSL, and have recently been seen having some fun in attendance at one of the team’s games.

Swift has of course done a ton to help grow popularity in the NFL for those who may not be naturally inclined to watch football. And it seems like Mahomes could potentially use this to help grow interest in women’s soccer in the future.
During a recent appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Mahomes hinted that Swift may be in attendance for one of the Current’s games moving forward.
“We might get her here at some point, she’s a busy woman and Travis [Kelce] is a busy guy,” Mahomes said transcribed by Bleacher Report. “So, maybe during the season or something like that we’ll get her out to a Kansas City Current game. She loves supporting Kansas City just like we do and I’m sure Brittany can nudge her and get her here pretty easily.”
Brittany Mahomes, who was also there for the media appearance, added that she will indeed work towards convincing Taylor to attend a game.
“That’s definitely on me, that’s definitely on me. I’ll work on it, I will work on it.”
Swift and Brittany Mahomes have notably grown quite close, often seen sitting in a booth together at Chiefs games last season laughing it up. So it sure does seem quite possible that Swift will be in attendance at a Current’s game sometime soon.
